Gomatha Seva – Service to the Sacred Desi Cow
The Desi Cow holds a revered place in Indian tradition and culture. Considered the most sacred among animals, every element it offers-milk, curd, ghee, dung, and urine – is known for its exceptional health benefits and spiritual significance. These are widely used in traditional rituals, Ayurvedic medicine, and daily life practices.
Presence of the Gomatha is believed to purify the environment and bring positive energy. It is rightly said, “Humans need cows more than cows need humans.” Protecting cows is not just a duty but essential for ecological and human well-being.
Our mission is to support the sustainable care of Desi Cows-both in our Goshala and other shelters-by providing fodder, medical care, and infrastructure. We are also developing eco-sustainable Goshalas through income generated from cow dung-based biogas and urine distillation, offering medicinal products that encourage farmers to protect retired dairy cows rather than selling them to slaughter.
Perigreen started Gomatha seva and all related service activities are being carried in a systematic manner by forming an NGO name “True Nature”
As Gomatha seva and/or protecting cows is very important and auspicious activity, we welcome the interested people to donate for this Service.
